I enjoyed working on Assignment 5: PowerPoint Interaction. I had always wondered how these kinds of PowerPoints were made and it was really fun to be able to make my own. I definitely learned a lot more about how to work with PowerPoint and I am becoming much more familiar with all of its tools. I found it difficult at first because I didn't realize I had to put the answer to the question on a separate slide so I was struggling to find an animation to make it uncover. I then realized I had to add a transition to go to a whole new slide. Once I got the hang of the process, the assignment was a lot easier. I think next time I can add more detail to some of my slides and add a little closing or "End Game" button to make it less plain.  Here is a screenshot of my assignment:          As a teacher, I think I will mostly use data collection tools to evaluate how my students are doing/feeling about my class. As a second grade teacher, I think it will be easier for my stude

I am loving EME2040 so far! I like that in the classroom we have discussions and go through the portfolio items and assignment requirements. This makes things much easier and helps me to better understand how to work with the technology. There is not really anything that I dislike about the classroom experience. As a teacher, I think it is important to engage the students and have discussions and also to always make sure my instructions are clear and I leave room for questions to be asked.      OER can be used by any teacher for free and without having to ask for permission. They are extremely useful for creating lesson plans and gaining inspiration for things to do within the classroom. This website,  https://ait.libguides.com/openeducation ,  discusses what OER is and how to use it. The information discusses keeping the 5 R's in mind when utilizing OER. These are retain, revise, remix, reuse, and redistribute. I think this is good to think about when looking for OER online

I really enjoyed working on the Web Design Project. I made sure to follow CRAP and keep this in mind when creating my website. I tried to make important text stand out in relation to other smaller, non-important text. I also made sure all of my headings matched one another and was straight. It was pretty difficult at times finding images to match with the text colors to make it look pretty but I think it worked out well. I can definitely use the skills I gained for the future. I think having a website is a good resource for teachers, students, and parents alike. My website     I do not use AI that often but I will use it sometimes for my school work. I usually use it for when I am confused about something or if I need an idea for a project. I wouldn't say I am motivated to use AI but I do find it to be a helpful resource at times. I am still learning how to work with AI and become more familiar with it. I just have questions as to what else can it be used for and how to get the

I visited a few websites part of the English department. I noticed most of them have a welcome page, a bio, and an assignments/announcements page. Katherine Quick's website has a calendar linked on her page. On this calendar, there are assignments listed and a basic schedule for what each week will entail. I feel like this is especially helpful to the student if they are sick, going on a trip, or just want to get ahead. https://www.leonschools.net//site/Default.aspx?PageID=9923      As a teacher, I think a website is a good thing to have to keep parents updated and students as well. I think creating newsletters is also something I will do in my future career. I can also imagine myself using Pinterest to come up with creative lesson plans and Instagram as well. Furthermore, in the classroom I think YouTube is a good resource to use to add to the lessons and reiterate material. I will also be sure to use Remind or a platform like that to communicate with parents and be sure to

Overall, I enjoy working with Diigo and I think it can be a great resource within classrooms. I like the way it is very collaborative and you can add comments and things of that nature. It is a great way to share all the individual ideas within a classroom. While it is a great resource, I also think it can be pretty confusing especially when thinking about using it with younger students, which is the grade level I am interested in teaching. For older students, however, I think it can be especially effective.     I did not have much experience with blogging before this, but I am finding it to be a fun thing to do. I think it is a good way to summarize, reflect, and organize thoughts. Through my blogging process, I have learned the value of sharing opinions and have deepened my understanding of the topics we discuss in class. As a future educator, I can look through blogs in order to see what other teachers are doing and be inspired to do different things within my classroom.     A

I am really enjoying using Instagram for my Personal Learning Network. In the past, I had seen stuff on Pinterest and TikTok about teachers and classroom activities and I think Instagram has even more ideas and goes deeper into them. With my Instagram account, I have seen and followed several teacher accounts where they post lesson plans, fun things happening within their classroom, and even outfits and things like that. For my future career, I will definitely look to Instagram for inspiration to apply within my classroom and fun things to do with my students.     The digital divide is something very prominent within schools today. It can easily be overlooked, however, it affects students in severe ways. It can impact grades and just overall make students feel isolated or embarrassed in some cases. Some causes of the digital divide include economic or social issues. As a classroom teacher, I will most likely experience the digital divide and I will be sure to address it through my
